John Mock/Mauk, Vaughan etc

Notes: The 1870 census record places John Mauk/Mock in the home of John Vaughan, Jr. and Susan. (hard copy off Ancestry or Heritage Quest) Notice their grandchildren in the home. They are children of David Shelton and their daughter, Sarah AnnVaughan, b. abt. 1836 who had been living next door, but in1870 the children seemed to be orphaned? cause of death of the parents is unknown

Solid genealogical evidence from several
people, think that the wife of John Vaughan (son of John and Nancy
(Callicott) Vaughan is indeed Susan Mauk (or Monk or Mock), daughter
of John Mauk, instead of Susan Snapp. However, do check all data out for your own records.
