1. Andrew Jackson4 Vaughan (Samuel P.3, William Patrick2, Unknown1) was born February 02, 1815 in Warren County, Tennessee, and died December 29, 1882 in Hindsville, Madison County, Arkansas. He married (1) Mary Roller June 14, 1846 in Barry County, Missouri. She was born December 14, 1825 in Tennessee, and died March 18, 1863 in Hindsville, Madison County, Arkansas. He married (2) Elizabeth H. Faisse Abt. 1864. She was born Abt. 1838 in VA.
Notes for Andrew Jackson Vaughan:
1850 census shows A.J. was born in TN, records show they came from Russell Co, VA, he was in household #76, next to his father Samuel, in Paririe Township, Madison County, AR. He is listed as a " B. Minister" on the 1850 census. According to his Great Grandson, Bruce Vaughan, he was not only a Minister but a doctor. With C.S. Fritts he organized the Spring Valley, Arkansas Missionary Baptist Church. A son-in-law, Edward b. Eddis was also a doctor. Edward was an Englishman and later in life became addicted to narcotics and ended up in the Arkansas State Mental Hospital in Little Rock.
Andrew J. died from injuries received when his buggy overturned while crossing Brush Creek, east of Springdale on the old upper Huntsville Road. he is buried in the Vaughan cemetery.

2. Catherine E.5 Vaughan (Andrew Jackson4, Samuel P.3, William Patrick2, Unknown1) was born September 13, 1847 in Madison County, Arkansas, and died April 15, 1938 in Madison County, Arkansas. She married Anderson Sanders January 23, 1862 in Spring Valley, AR by her father. He was born January 18, 1842 in Orleans, Indiana, and died August 16, 1920 in , Springdale, AR.
Notes for Catherine E. Vaughan:
Didn't believe in dance, but had big jolly boys that would pick her up and swing her around be cause she was so small.
Catherine traveled to Washington and California.
Notes for Anderson Sanders:
Jackson Vaughn gave them a tract of land near Spring Valley.
Three Sanders Brothers married Three Vaughn sisters. The Parents of
George Allen Sanders and Willie Frances Sanders died in the big flu
epidemic and were raised by Anderson and Catherine.
Catherine had an infant at the time and had to send Willie to a black mammy to be nursed until he was weaned.
Anderson and Catherine raised their daughter Nora's two daughters also.
Anderson fought in the Civil War. The slaves were freed and given 5acres of land each. The y all stayed to help Catherine during the war. Anderson ran up War Eagle Valley to escape the carpet baggers.
Catherine boiled dirt under the smoke house to get salt.
They could see cannon fire at Pea Ridge from the House

Notes for Edward B. Eddis:
An Englishman, who was a doctor, he practiced medicine with his father-in-law, but later in life became addicted to pain medicine and narcotics and ended up in the Arkansas State Mental Hospital in Little Rock, where he died.

Notes for Charles Islom Vaughan:
His Grandson, Bruce Vaughan tells stories of his grandfather's childhood, such as throwing pebbles in a river when his father was conducting Baptisms in the river and yelling out "Dunk them again, Jack" each time his father would lower a person into the water, then throwing a pebble near by. His father later whipped him for his disrespect.
He also told about picking a fight with a skinny, poor boy on a beat-up horse one time. He pulled the boy (who didn't want to fight) off his horse, but the skinny boy beat up Charlie severely. Charles told his grandson the moral of his story was to "Never fight unless you have to and Never, Never pull a man off his horse".

Notes for Bruce C. Vaughan:
His son Bruce Jr. tells of having his tonsils pulled out by a Dr. Hill against the wall of a stable then his father going back home. Latter the doctor had to re-do the job as he had missed part of the tonsil.
He bought the store at Habberton, Arkansas in 1925 from Mr. Henson and built a grist mill behind the store, then bought the farm just west of the store. In 1929 he lost it all and John Morris, a cousin bought the stock and fixtures of the store. Bruce worked at a variety of jobs, including a barber and shop foreman for Late Chevrolet until 1955. He is buried in Friendship cemetery.
42 iii. Randolph Erton Vaughan, born Abt. 1898 in Arkansas. He married Nell Newton.
43 iv. Effie L. Vaughan, born Abt. 1900 in Arkansas.
