JOSEPH SMITH'S PHOTO'S (VAUGHAN)

Hasn't this has been around before? No. 2

No. 1 Photo, they say this photograph is believed to be a copy of an original daguerreotype taken of Joseph Smith or Jr. in Nauvoo just before his death in 1844 and, causing a lot of excitement in the LDS church and artist.

No. 3 The other J. S. Jr. photo seems to have a story too? "At least one version of an e-mail that's been spreading like wildfire in recent days says it this way: "Check this picture out. It has just been released by the RLDS church as being an authentic picture of the prophet Joseph Smith."???

“Evidence suggests, the Prophet's son Joseph Smith III, submitted a photographic copy of his father's daguerreotype to the Library of Congress in 1879. A daguerreotype is a small unique image that can only be duplicated by being re-photographed. Clear reproduction presented a problem because the majority of daguerreotypes in 1844 were only the size of a large postage stamp. The Library of Congress copy has an 8x10 inch print, which would be an obvious enlargement of a small original.”
No. 2 This 1879 duplication was done with film and primitive. It has been retouched around the hair, coat, on the cravat-or necktie-and the vest. Joseph's hairstyle, considered fashionable at the time, has been poorly finished or filled in along the outline. This photo has obviously been retouched.
This photo may be all that is left of the original image, as the daguerreotype has not been found. It was good that Joseph's son saw the need to safeguard his father's photograph with this copy so that over 150 years later we can now see what Joseph Smith really looked like??? It certainly pop a lot of “BUBBLES ” LDS ARTIST WERE GOING IN A WRONG DIRECTION and he’s not appearing in “classical” FORM and not so cocky pretentious looking as MOST ARTIST HAVE conveyed.

Wikipedia says “This photograph is claimed “by many experts” to be a daguerreotype of Joseph Smith, Jr. taken in 1843 by Lucian Foster. In fact it is simply a crude 19th century example of photographic collage, made superimposing the clothes from a genuine photo portrait on the Charles Carter portrait.”
No. 3 Photo ”Also, the first photo above, #2, is believed by a few that the photograph is merely a painting. Careful study of the data compiled by experts shows this belief to be incorrect. Much excitement has come from the comparative studies of this image and a death mask made of the Prophet just after his death. Experts in Facial Surgery, Forensic Pathology, Plastic and Facial Reconstruction, Art, Art History, Archival, and Photographic History, have put together information that not only substantiates the photographic nature of this image, but sheds new light on the history of Joseph Smith in a unique and extraordinary way.” C O N F U S E D ? So are they!!!!!

LUKE 9:49-50 - "And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us. And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us." I love this verse, STOP THE PREDIGESTS! In my house....in "MY" ..."house are many mansions."

(Note: Joseph Smith actually connects to one of the "Vaughan" line. Stevenson's Genealogy in Provo, Utah has two wall genealogy charts mapping these lines, Smith to Vaughan line (huge.) It reveles these lines going through to the royal lines back to Jesus Christ. Call them and get these two printed genealogy wall maps. One is suppose to be more reliable than the other, but can't remember which one. That why I suggest getting both of them.
