LuLu is one too.)Their are many places not that will publish a family history beside Stevenson's Genealogy. He can be contacted on line and send your work though the mail or e-mail. Sign up for his news letters or blog postings their worth it and their free. He's been in the family business for years. (second generation)
This site is very informational and I do recommend them. Some other companies that do family publishing, like Ancestry.com, but they use your genealogy materials to build up their business (corporation) to add to their genealogy site and programs. This may not be a problem for some, but for me I don't like someone giving my genealogy free and in turn be charge a fee of $20.00 a month to get them back or do research on other such genealogy. However, they are stored forever, in case your computer crashes so their are advantages. Ancestry has a book program for your family history and a program for your genealogy with goes back to them. What get me is, you do the work, pay for the program, and then have to pay again for relatives to view it or you to use their program done by others. So it is with a business. Many are rebelling at such practices and just giving our genealogy free on line to those who connect. Most of those who collect or gather genealogy and see money....hate this idea. They lose control of names i.e.
There seems to be a genealogy site for every one's budget. If you can pay do so, It's better to use our time and talents here then to foolishly spent money for wine, drugs and tobacco, where in the end you accomplish nothing for your time.
The Church of Jesus Christ does genealogy free and Cydies List i.e. with no fees involved on their web sites. Each has their own unique quality. We need their different slants.
